The reformwas originally scheduled to take effect in October 2012. The government hadalready pushed back implementation of part 1, dealing with legal aid reform, toApril 2013. As the House of Lords began scrutinising part 2 of the Legal Aid,Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill (LASPO), which contains theprovisions, the timetable was deemed to be too tight for implementation withinthe earlier deadline. /span/divdiv class="MsoNormal"span style="font-size: large;"br //span/divdiv class="MsoNormal"span style="font-size: large;"The Solicitor’s RegulationAuthority (SRA), one of the regulators to enforce the ban on referral fees hascalled on the government to provide a href="http://www.legalfutures.co.uk/latest-news/sra-calls-on-government-to-provide-more-clarity-on-referral-fee-ban"more clarity over referral fee ban/a/spanspan style="font-size: large;".
